Historic Plantation Home

Situated in the center of our 2 acre retreat property under sprawling old banyan and monkeypod trees, rests the historic pineapple plantation home.  Offering a flexible floorplan our comfortable and exotic plantation home can be rented as a two, three or four bedroom house. (see floorplan) The House with 2 bedrooms includes the Bamboo and Palm suites on the poolside of the house.  As a 3 bedroom home, include the Banyan suite on the other side of the living room.  Then as a 4 bedroom house it will include Plumeria cottage which is also under the same roof as the other rooms.  Every bedroom has it's own entrance and private bathroom with shower.

Reservations

The Banyan Retreat Center is perfect for large retreat groups who can use this house as a central location with 4 other cottages available as well.  The entire property can comfortably accommodate (with 3 people per room) as many as 21 guests. 

 


We also have another new yoga and meditation studio  just for group meetings, events and classes.  Please contact us details on hosting your retreat, wedding or family reunion.

Furnished in traditional island style furniture, the plantation house living room, formal dining room and bedrooms still have the exotic flavor of old Hawaii.

Located on the slopes of Haleakala, Maui's Banyan Retreat Center is very peaceful with spacious grounds and large flowering Jacaranda, Plumeria and Monkeypod trees.

At the Banyan Retreat Center, each bedroom is wonderfully furnished and comfortable. Every bedroom has its own private bathroom with either shower or bathtub.  The bedrooms and living room are decorated with the paintings of local artist Suzy Papanikolas

The Banyan Retreat has a huge swimming pool
and Jacuzzi for the exclusive use of our guests.
Children are always welcome.

Our Retreat guests enjoy a formal dining room, a large and open living room, a restaurant quality kitchen as well as a large screened porch or lanai. 

Our wonderful retreat home offers expansive views of the ocean and across the valley to the west Maui Mountains. Pick your own fruit in season and enjoy our two acre garden with its big tree swings and hammocks.

The Banyan Retreat is only a short walk to the historic cowboy town of Makawao, where you can find many fine restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There is at least a dozen art galleries and small stores.

In the surrounding hills you have the finest hiking, biking and horseback riding on the island. There are two golf courses in the area. Telephone, fax, wireless internet and laundry facilities included on the premises.

RATE SCHEDULE

Rates based on double occupancy

Add 11.42% Hawaii State Room Tax.
Payment can be made by check, credit card, cash or traveler's checks.  50% of total payment required to book the Plantation House or cottages, the remainder will be due upon arrival.

$30 for each guest over 2 people per room.

The cleaning fee for the Plantation House is $200.

Guests who rent the house- as 2, 3 or 4 bedroom unit- are also renting the restaurant quality kitchen and will not be served breakfast.   Guests who rent a single suite have use of a kitchenette and will be served breakfast in the morning.
