has 2 private entrances, a living room, 2 queen size beds, a large kitchenette and 2 private bathrooms. Sue's Suite has been newly remodeled to be wheelchair accessible and we have changed our Ginger cottage to this new suite. It has extra wide doorways and plenty of space to move about in the room. The bathrooms and other amenities have all been designed with the handicapped and their caregivers in mind. With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 entrances separated by a generous kitchenette, Ginger Cottage is ideal for guests traveling with individuals needing wheelchairs.

Surrounded by plumeria trees, ginger flowers and close to large whispering banyan tree, this Maui vacation retreat cottage also has a sunny lanai or porch.

The Banyan Retreat on Maui has a total of seven cottages and suites that are spread around our 2 plus acres of flowers, trees, fruit and open lawns.

Breakfast is served every morning to our retreat guests who individually rent suites and cottages, but is not included with the whole plantation house or entire holiday property rental.

The Banyan Retreat Center is just outside of Makawao town, less than 10 minutes from Paia and the North shore beaches. Haleakala Park is about an hour up the mountain. Haiku, Pukalani, Kula and HaliiMaile are all close by in Maui's upcountry area. Our Maui retreat has a wonderfully ideal central location for touring Maui. Our large and roomy yoga studio is available for any group event, weddings, conferences, classes and meetings.
