Just far enough above Maui's beachfront
crowds, the Banyan Tree House vacation rentals retreat is 7
miles up the hill from Maui's famous North Shore. Gentle breezes
amidst giant Banyan, Monkeypod and Jacaranda trees help to create
a peaceful yet centrally located retreat. An tropical oasis simply overflowing with peace
and Hawaiiana, surrounded by fruit trees, flowers and wide open
lawns. Hammocks and swings hang from trees offering
comfortable private places around our 2 acre property. A 50'
swimming pool and Jacuzzi are for the private use of our vacation rental guests.
The historic plantation property is also known as the
"Banyan Tree House" and was originally built in 1927. Our vacation
accommodations include the historic plantation house with three large bedrooms/
suites as well as four individual, spacious cottages. A beautiful
700 sq. ft. Yoga and Meditation studio perfect for retreats and groups; complete
with audio/visual systems and props can be used for meetings and lectures as
well. The new
Ginger Cottage has recently been
designed and renovated to be a comfortable accommodation for guests requiring
wheel chair access and their caregiver. With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2
entrances separated by a generous kitchenette, Ginger Cottage is ideal for
guests traveling with handicapped individuals.
All vacation rental guests receive a continental breakfast every morning
that features fresh fruit, muffin and juice.
The
historic cowboy town and favorite local hangout of
Makawao is a pleasant walk past a pineapple field from the
Banyan Tree House. Here, in this friendly little town, you will find shops, restaurants, art
galleries, food and health stores, spas, library and more.
Down the hill about 7 miles from our vacation rental cottages is the small, historic sugarcane town of
Paia. Paia town is central to
North Shore beaches of Ho'okipa, Spreklesville and Baldwin where you will enjoy
internationally famous surfing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, sunbathing,
scuba diving and just playing around in the waves.
